Finally Firefox 3.6 is available for download. It was released yesterday and what can I say, it’s great!
The features? One is, it has improved overall speed, more faster than Firefox 3.5. Second, HTML 5 and CSS. Third, a new type of theme called Personas and many more.
Aside from that, I was able to create an illustration. For the first time I’m able to use and finished an artwork in Illustrator. Well, I’ve use Photoshop for the final touch.
I say, it’s really hard since I do my all of my vectors in Photoshop. I’m not comfortable yet with Illustrator but I hope I may be able to. (´ー`)y-~~
Another year has passed, and it’s a new year, new decade. Well, never mind that. Here’s a wallpaper calendar for the first month of the year! Yeah!
I really wanted to create a set of monster but I’ve only created a trio. What do you think they are? I have no idea either. One of my favorite creature among the three is the blue one with tentacles, and the least favorite is the green one(by the way, it looks like a condom).
The wallpaper is available in 9 different resolution, so take a pick and enjoi! Ladies and gentlemen, Desktop Wallpaper: January 2010.
Other resolutions: 1024×768, 1280×800, 1280×960, 1400×1050, 1440×900, 1600×1200, 1680×1050, 1920×1200, 2560×1600
Happy New Year!
I’ve been using Winamp for about 3 years now. And it has been always my favorite among the other media player. Since then, I always set up my Winamp to “minimized to tray” just to not get in the way in the old windows taskbar. Now came Windows 7 with its new and improved Windows Taskbar. I found its convenience and decided to take advantage of its features. But found out that Winamp doesn’t act as it supposed to be when pinned in the taskbar. So here comes Win7Shell to the rescue, found this plugin on the net while searching for an answer!
So what is Win7Shell? It’s a simple plugin for Winamp, that integrates with the new Windows taskbar of Windows 7. I’d say a must have plugin for Winamp. That is, if your in Windows 7.

It’s free and great plugin for Winamp users out there.

Here is the calendar for this month of November, a happy red monster enjoying his feast. I really did enjoy making this wallpaper not because his eating the child, it’s because of the process on creating and polishing the character. And how the character evolves from my first design [image].
This wallpaper is available in 9 different resolutions also available in no calendar versions, so take a pick and enjoi the desktop calendar wallpaper for this month.

The public beta for Ubuntu 9.10 codename Karmic Koala has been released by the Ubuntu Team, which is cool. I downloaded the beta and installed it on my virtualBox a few days ago. Ubuntu 9.10 – Karmic Koala brings a lot of new features and I’m kind of excited for the final release.
When you install the OS, you will notice that the installation dialog have been reworked, and you’ll see the information about the distro and its features. Boot performance has been improved and faster than before. Splash screen software has been replaced with Xsplash (Read the blog post of Scott James Remnant that’ll explains why). And by default, Ubuntu 9.10 uses ext4 filesystem and the GRUB 2 boot loader.
The latest release of GNOME(GNOME 2.28) has been included. Pidgin has been replaced by Empathy as the default instant messaging client (read the comparison of usability here). In the Applications menu, the Add/Remove Applications has been replaced by Ubuntu Software Center and has been moved to System > Administration menu.
Well, I’m still playing with Koala and there are still more visible and under the hood features. Me can’t wait. The final stable version will be released on October 29th, 2009. So if you want to try Ubuntu 9.10 : Karmic Koala, you can download the beta here.

Okay, I don’t know that Opera 10 has been released. It just popped out the updates when I’m testing the layout that I’ve been working on. My primary browser is not really Opera, I may have been in my positive mind to upgrade or I just really want to upgrade my current version, eh?
Well, upgrading… crunching… nom nom nom nom nom… So what’s new? Opera 10 has a new design which is better than the previous version. There’s this turbo thing that improves your browsing speed even on a slow connection area. The tab bar is resizable, just drag the underneath of the tab bar to reveal the thumbnails of the opened web pages. Also in a default view of the browser you can see the thumbnail of the web page by hovering your mouse pointer over the tab, which is quite handy. It has an built-in e-mail client, speed dial, mouse gestures and better download manager with BitTorrent.
Opera comes in different languages and is available to Windows, Linux and Mac. For more features, you can find it here.

Mozilla has just release Firefox 3.5 today with a lot of improvements and loaded with new features. Did I say improvements? In terms of performance, there’s a lot of improvements than the older versions of firefox. It loads the web pages pretty fast than I expected and of course with less memory.
Speaking of memory, one thing I look up upon upgrading my firefox is the memory usage. I noticed that the memory usage drops from 120k MB to 90k MB of memory, it has more than 5 active tabs.
As for the new features, here’s a few: Private Browsing, lets you surf the web without a trace. Tear-off Tabs, lets you separate or create a new window from the group of tabs. — These two features, If you have Google Chrome with you then it’s like that. — And the Open Video and Audio, this support open video and audio formats, these open formats also allow modern web pages to display media without requiring a plug-in to install.
These are just some of the features and improvements of latest version, what can you say? It even speak 70 different languages. More info about the features can be found here.
Download Firefox 3.5 now.
Finally here it is, my first wordpress theme. As I said to my earlier post. 8 Arm Creature wordpress theme release. A fun, two column theme. HTML/CSS template files are available at chanlu.org.
