Finally Firefox 3.6 is available for download. It was released yesterday and what can I say, it’s great!

The features? One is, it has improved overall speed, more faster than Firefox 3.5. Second, HTML 5 and CSS. Third, a new type of theme called Personas and many more.

Aside from that, I was able to create an illustration. For the first time I’m able to use and finished an artwork in Illustrator. Well, I’ve use Photoshop for the final touch.

I say, it’s really hard since I do my all of my vectors in Photoshop. I’m not comfortable yet with Illustrator but I hope I may be able to. (´ー`)y-~~

And it has been always my favorite among the other media player. Since then, I always set up my Winamp to “minimized to tray” just to not get in the way in the old windows taskbar. Now came Windows 7 with its new and improved Windows Taskbar. I found its convenience and decided to take advantage of its features. But found out that Winamp doesn’t act as it supposed to be when pinned in the taskbar. So here comes Win7Shell to the rescue, found this plugin on the net while searching for an answer!

So what is Win7Shell? It’s a simple plugin for Winamp, that integrates with the new Windows taskbar of Windows 7. I’d say a must have plugin for Winamp. That is, if your in Windows 7.

Customized information about the current media playing

Custom image file

Progress bar, showing playback progress

Adds customizable player control buttons on the aero peek thumbnail.

Adds ‘Recent’, ‘Frequent’ and ‘Tasks’ categories to the jump list.

Winamp is now easier to find in 3DFlip.

It’s free and great plugin for Winamp users out there.

It just popped out the updates when I’m testing the layout that I’ve been working on. My primary browser is not really Opera, I may have been in my positive mind to upgrade or I just really want to upgrade my current version, eh?

Well, upgrading… crunching… nom nom nom nom nom… So what’s new? Opera 10 has a new design which is better than the previous version. There’s this turbo thing that improves your browsing speed even on a slow connection area. The tab bar is resizable, just drag the underneath of the tab bar to reveal the thumbnails of the opened web pages. Also in a default view of the browser you can see the thumbnail of the web page by hovering your mouse pointer over the tab, which is quite handy. It has an built-in e-mail client, speed dial, mouse gestures and better download manager with BitTorrent.

Opera comes in different languages and is available to Windows, Linux and Mac. For more features, you can find it here.

Try Opera 10 for free.

Mozilla has just release Firefox 3.5 today with a lot of improvements and loaded with new features. Did I say improvements? In terms of performance, there’s a lot of improvements than the older versions of firefox. It loads the web pages pretty fast than I expected and of course with less memory.

Speaking of memory, one thing I look up upon upgrading my firefox is the memory usage. I noticed that the memory usage drops from 120k MB to 90k MB of memory, it has more than 5 active tabs.

As for the new features, here’s a few: Private Browsing, lets you surf the web without a trace. Tear-off Tabs, lets you separate or create a new window from the group of tabs. — These two features, If you have Google Chrome with you then it’s like that. — And the Open Video and Audio, this support open video and audio formats, these open formats also allow modern web pages to display media without requiring a plug-in to install.

These are just some of the features and improvements of latest version, what can you say? It even speak 70 different languages. More info about the features can be found here.

Download Firefox 3.5 now.

I just installed Ubuntu 9.04 – Jaunty Jackalope on my machine today. This new version was released last month on April 23, 2009. It’s been a year since I got Hardy Heron, and I thought I give it a try for Jaunty Jackalope.
Thoughts about this version: As usual, easy to install. It’s fast, much faster than my old one. The boot time is fast. Has new look, sexy boot screen, new login screen(don’t like), and some new themes(don’t like). And of course better performance. Enabling restricted hardware is also easy, And I had no problem installing driver for my video card.

A Few list of updates in Ubuntu 9.04 – Jaunty Jackalope

Gnome 2.26.1

2.6.28-11.37 Linux kernel

Open Office 3.0

Mozilla Firefox 3.0.8

Supports for Ext4 file system

New desktop notification scheme

Faster boot performance (sexy boot screen)

and many more..

Download: Ubuntu 9.04 – Jaunty Jackalope

Just make sure that you check the integrity of the downloaded image/ISO before you burn the image/ISO into to your CD/DVD and another check for the integrity of your burnt media.

I found this package when I’m looking for replacement for my multiple IE. And I found this helpful since IE8 has already in public release. This package includes IE5.5, IE6, IE 7 and IE8(latest version), so you don’t have to download any stand alone IE or to install VMWare just to check your design in different version of IE. You just have to install and it will save your time when debugging or testing your design.

The minimum requirements to install this package is Windows Vista/ Windows XP with IE7. You can read more info and download this at:
http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePage.

Also check out their debugBar, it’s an IE add-on much like firebug in Firefox.
Happy Coding!

With over 8.3 millions of downloads of FireFox3 from all over the world in just 24 hrs. How sad, I have already installed beta when I heard about the news.

FireFox3 has new more improvements and more features than before. Examples are, one-click bookmarking, web site ID, the look and feel of the new browser and of course the improvements of performance.

One thing I love about this new feature is the smart location bar. The location bar is like it has an auto-complete function that drops down a list of your browsing history and matches whatever the keywords you typed in. For example you’ve just visited this blog a day ago and you happen to forgot the URL(ex: http://mydomain.com) of this blog and all you can remember is the page/site title which is “Parallel”. So, all you have to do is type in the location bar “Parallel” and a list of site from your browsing history will appear with parallel keyword in the URL or page/site title. The smart location bar also works with your bookmarked site and tagged.

And for your secure online payment and purchases, you can now check web site’s legitimacy. Just click the favicon for an instant identity overview, then click the button “More Information” to check the full information. You can view the web site identity, the saved cookies, how many times did you visited that site, the saved password and the technical details. There are more security features in the new Firefox to protect you and your privacy.

For more information visit Mozilla Firefox.
