After I managed to wake up, I heard sound that I don’t want to hear or rather I’m afraid to hear, it’s coming from my computer. So I get up and checked out wondering what could it be and with no second though, I turned off and dissected my computer, got rid of the cables and finally open the cover of my system unit.  And then I found out that the problem is the processor’s fan, it’s covered in dust and when you turn the fan manually, you’ll hear some noise. And, there, I’ve decided to remove my processor’s fan.

This is my first time to touch my computer’s mother board, especially in it’s delicate area. But for some reason I’m excited though I don’t have any idea how to remove the fan. I’ve read the manual of the processor and it says “turn the screw 90°”. I followed and followed the instructions in the manual until I the fan is easily removed, and I “wow…”, so I cleaned it, and after that… …it was good as new, but not new as new. Though it was a success to removed the fan, the problem is how to get back. So I’ve read the manuals again, in “How to install the processor” section, then doing what was instructed in the manuals with shakey hands. Slowly, I tried to place the srew in their positions. Carefully, and hoping that I don’t damage the processor or the board. And with a big grin in my face. I have successfully installed back the fan… *yay!

But with no sure if it will work. I put all the cables and pressed the power button. At first I doubted that it will not power up or the noise will still remain. but even so I waited until I see the grub of ubuntu. Hehe, Finally, it was a success. *with a grin*.I was a great experience.
