A sudden change of theme, huh? Well, I woke up and checked my blog and I’m happy that Wordpress 2.8 was being released today. After the updates my latest k2 theme messed up, I wonder if there are conflicts in the JS script loader of k2 and the updated version of wordpress. I haven’t any theme for my blog yet so I ended up using my custom theme. Well, it’s okay. I wanted to change my theme lately but I could find the one that I want.
Anyways, thanks Wordpress Team for the updates. As always, great work! Check out the highlights and features in Wordpress 2.8 here.

I would love to see the new Wordpress. Unfortunately, my FTP is being too slow to upload all it’s file inorder for me to make the upgrade.
The theme looks good, I love that 8-armed creature.
Oh, why don’t you try the one-click upgrade for wordpress?
Anyways, Thanks.
I don’t know why but the one-click upgrade scares me, I’m always afraid when my Internet will disconnect. It’s much safer to do it manually… I’ll just wait until my ftp uploading gets better.
Yeah, It’s better to do it manually, time consuming but safer.
Haha. Your blog looks rather cute.
By the way, drag and drop widgets? Haven’t explored on 2.8 yet.
Drag and drop widget, see your widget section(Appearance>Widgets). There are are 3 boxes, the available widgets box, inactive widgets box and the sidebar box, the available widget box contains the deactivated widgets and there settings are deleted, while the inactive widgets box contains the deactivated widgets but there settings are being saved. And lastly is the sidebar box.
I thought that it was more special…
Hahaha.
Or a new hidden feature.
It’s been redesigned in a better way though.
I goggled for exactly this and came across your post. I’m using a customized K2 theme as well, and I knew it’s about time to change. WordPress 2.8 now has drag n drop widgets, so there’s really no need for K2. Like you I’ve to find a theme that works for me.
Yes, Although it’s a short period of time that I used of K2, K2 served me well.
Good luck on finding your theme, and thanks for dropping by.
