Last week, Charlotte told me that she has a copy of a 64bit Windows 7 so I asked her to bring it in my place just in case.
I never really wanted to install new flavor of Windows but since I have already the copy of the OS and I’ve been thinking of reformatting my system, so I think I give it a try. I installed a 64bit Windows 7 and dropped Windows XP on my machine. It’s been a week now and so far everything is running smoothly, no hardware problems and all is well and stable. I think my system is ready for production.
I admit it, I’m started to liking this Windows 7, not for its aesthetically satisfying look but for its productivity boost that given me to my day to day work. All is well, jumping from window to another and finding files.
By default, Windows 7 takes over your boot-up process and wants to be your only OS, and Linux treats Windows like a weekend hobby you keep in a shed somewhere on your hard drive.

Yeah, True. The only problem now in my machine is on how to restore my boot loader to boot my installed Ubuntu 9.10. And this is the problem since Ubuntu 9.10 uses Grub 2 by default. It’s new for me and I haven’t read the Grub 2 documentations yet. I tried restoring the boot loader by legacy method but it’s different (oTL). Anyways, the only solution now is to learn. Hooray~!
